My biggest frustration these days is not being able to find things. Not only do people move shit around the house without telling me — something that makes finding things comically difficult when you can’t see well — the fact that I can’t see well makes piecing together the location of things a big job.

For instance, I have a box of DIY electronics stuff somewhere down in my old office. I was fully planning on using it to set up the soil moisture sensors I bought today. The last time I was tinkering was nearly a year ago before I got sick — but I left it underneath my desk. Now its nowhere to be found. It’s not down stairs, not in the storage area, not in a junk pile anywhere. It’s vanished. I’m sure it wasn’t intentional, but it has the majority of the things I need for this project in it…. I’ll have to keep “looking.” Hard to “look” for anything when you can’t see worth a damn.

See — I have some water pumps that can be run properly by data from these soil moisture sensors but I’ve got to get the sensors to report meaningful data if I want to that. If I can figure this out it’ll be a helpful project on the road to productivity again. Just gotta keep trucking I guess.

The way things are going has kind of changed lately. Time for new - albeit wildly different - adventures.
